Larry F. McCrary

Larry F. McCrary’s 40-year career as a certified public accountant includes assisting clients in investment banking, financial disclosures, equity reorganizations, and mergers and acquisitions. Larry’s industry exposure includes oil and gas, real estate, and manufacturing.

Larry has an extensive background in SEC reporting, as well as serving clients in the real estate, health care, and financial services industries. More recently, he has developed expertise and written several articles for publication on the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, Section 404 compliance and reporting.

Larry began practicing public accounting more than 30 years ago, serving 17 of these years with KPMG , where he was a partner for seven years. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Alabama, Florida, and Texas, and he is a Certified Forensic Accountant and Fellow of the American College of Forensic Examiners.

Larry’s education includes an undergraduate degree in accounting from Auburn University and a master’s in professional accountancy from Georgia State University. Larry is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Hehas served on various committees of state societies of CPAs and has taught courses for the Professional Development Institute and for Executive Education Enterprises.

Larry has also served as an adjunct professor at the University of Houston, co-authored articles published in the Journal of Commercial Bank Lending, and is the technical editor for a university textbook, Principles of Accounting.
